I'm surprised Balmorhea hasn't had any news/movement yet. Seems like a great job. Would be difficult replacing a legend, but the pieces/tradition is there to keep the Bears train moving.

I think it's a combination of, Balmorhea not actively searching right now & people not knowing. I mean Jones retiring was kept pretty quiet & I dont believe the school has publicly announced his retirement either.

I'll just say, he attempted retirement back in 2011. I dont believe it was official & it only lasted a few months before Balmorhea came calling. This was 12+ years ago now. So maybe this time around, he is ready to hang it up.

We sent our JH over to May a few years back. Coach Steele and his crew ran a first class program. They absolutely did it right. They welcomed us, hammered us, showed us how the game is supposed to be played, picked us up and sent us our way back home humbled but with respect. I wish nothing but the best for both May ISD and Coach Steele. Class act!

Why doesn't Hayes get on here and say whether he is or not. Then just disappear. I'm sick of all the drama some of these coaches love to get attention and give six-man a laughing name. How about those that coaches that are committed to one school whether their talent is great or not. Quit pimping your kids out.
